Case Study: Upmarket West London rental property modernised and marketed beautifully to new tenants.

Introduction

Mrs H, a professional working in financial services, came to Red Box with the remit to take a tired looking two bedroom flat in a smart residential part of London and transform to a contemporary high spec rental property. With little time available for her to manage the project, Red Box took full control of the work, undertaking it and sourcing all products with minimal effort and input from the client.

The client had found Red Box on the internet and read some customer reviews before approaching us, and setting up a meeting and calling some previous clients for references.

To modernise a two bedroom, two bathroom flat in West London that had not had any work done on it for twenty years.

Of course there were some unforeseen issues during the project but we found solutions to them and gave precise and accurate descriptions and costs to resolve them.

What we delivered for our client

The work took three months and involved the installation of two new fully tiled bathrooms and a cloakroom / washroom. A Howdens kitchen with Miele appliances. Wooden flooring by The Natural Wood Floor Company and sound insulation as requested by the building management. New lighting and electrical fittings were installed as well as interlinked fire and CO detection system.

The existing structure of the flat was good but the fittings and decorations were very dated.

Problems

The hot water and central heating system were old and inefficient. We upgraded to a modern green boiler and high-efficiency cylinder. A water pump made sure that shower pressure was excellent. The pump was sound insulated and decoupled to minimise noise.
