It’s official: Christmas is just around the corner! Don’t panic – there’s still plenty of time to finish that shopping and decorate the house.  But how about your home’s appearance  – are you ready for visitors with 12 days til the big day – time to get ready!



  1. Spruce up Your Guest Bedroom

Are you having guests this festive period?  Try and update the soft furnishings, painting and decorating might be a bit of a push this close to the big day – but touching up any scuffs, and giving everything a thorough refresh is definitely on the cards.

Inject some festive colours with Christmas pillows and blankets, or festive themed artwork on the walls.

You should also add some thoughtful extra to make your guests feel homely. Adding small, luxury items such as Christmas-scented candles or a warm velvet throw can really enhance the feel of the room, creating a sense of relaxation and warmth.

During Christmas, most households tend to flock to the kitchen, dining area or living room where they eat and drink plenty, so lighting is important in these areas.

Think about the brightness you need, you want to create a warm cosy feeling to your home to relax your family and friends.

For decorative purposes, you may want to invest in pendant lighting or a chandelier which will act as a focal point above a dining table, or there’s a lot of battery powered lighting options available for a table centrepiece.
